Places of interest we will be visiting during Besakih Tour

Morning full day tour, we first stop at the east to the regency of Gianyar, where we visit a demonstration of hand weaving or hand made Batik process. Further east we reach the neighbouring regency of Klungkung site of ancient capital where we stop at “Balai Kerta Gosa”.

Hall of justices, located in the center of Klungkung Regency called Semarapura. Kerta Gosa was built in 1710 by Dewa Agung the King of Klungkung. The ceiling of the hall completely covered inside with fine painting Kamasan Style. The story of painting is the Epict of life Balinese journey of the hall there is “Musium Semarajaya” collected of the photo of The King and Family in Balinese Dress.

From Kertagosa we continue our tour to “Bath Cave” or Pura Gua Lawah. Located 25 km from Denpasar City and located in Pesinggahan Village, Klungkung Regency. The cave in clift fully with thousand of Bats. This temple built in 11 century by priest “Mpu Kuturan” this one is important temple in Bali located near the ocean, specially used for Hindu Bali Ceremony.

From Goa Lawah Temple the tour will continue to Bukit Jambul it is nice view of Rice Terraces. The best places to enjoy scenery of the beautiful panorama and beautiful view of the Indian ocean from highland of Bali and stop to take some pictures.

Besakih Mother Temple, the biggest temple in the island located in Karangasem Regency about 45 Km from Denpasar city. The temple was built in 8th century at the foot of the Secret Mount Agung about 1000 meter above sea level by high priest “Rsi Markandeya”.

Besakih Temple is The Mother Temple of Hinduism in Bali and is actually a complex of many different temple structure dedicated to the Hindu Trinity (God Brahma, Wisnu, Siwa).
